MIAMI (CBSMiami) ? While teens smoking cigarettes continues to decline, that doesn?t necessarily mean teens have quit smoking. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of high school students that said they had recently smoked marijuana stood at 23 percent. The percentage of teens who had recently smoked tobacco-based cigarettes was just 18 percent. The CDC reported the number of teens who smoke has been on the decline. The CDC said marijuana and cigarette smoking among teens was at roughly the same level for decades. 2011 was the first year marijuana surpassed cigarettes for teen smoking. (TM and ?
