off (help me please, to find mistakes)

Hello hunters!
Being a student and writing my PhD Degree I faced some difficulties with English.
Could you please help me to get rid of some mistakes, cause to my regret i am not fluent in English
Here is the text

"Sociological Society named after M.M. Kowalewsky is a voluntary public organization of sociologists and representatives of other social sciences. The aim of this organization is to distribute knowledge about the society, its structure and development. The society integrates knowledge across disciplines, deal with our society. It is open to a huge variety of approaches and methods of social research, and the society wish to enrich national and foreign traditions in sociology.
The society was founded in 1916 and was named in honor of one of its initiators, the leading Russian sociologist M.M. Kovalevsky. Among the organizers and the first members of the society were the scientists of world importance - Nobel Prize-winning physiologist I.P. Pavlov, a psychologist V.M. Bekhterev, sociologist P.A. Sorokin, historians A.S. Lappo-Danilevsky and N.I. Kareev economists M.I. Tugan-Baranovsky and N.D. Kondratyev, lawyer L.I. Petrazhitsky. By 1923, the activity of the society was stopped, and only 70 years later the rebirth of the society has happened in the new historical conditions.
The society was restored again by the efforts of students, postgraduate students and the faculty of Sociology of St. Petersburg State University in 1993. The main aim of the Society is to assemble, at first, university sociologists, people studying sociology, as well as representatives of other sciences, who are concerned with the development of sociological knowledge and enlarge its role in our society. The main objectives were declared: the development of sociological education and the distribution of sociological knowledge. The Dean of the Faculty of Sociology, of St. Petersburg State University Professor AO Boronoyev was elected to be the Chairman of the Society. He was in this position until December 2005. Over the years the society has made a lot for the development of sociology and sociological education. The society has initiated the formation of the Russian concept in Sociology. The initiative of the Sociological Society M.M. Kovalevsky in 2000 was the first All-Russian Congress of Sociologists in St. Petersburg, which was held in 27-30 September 2000. The congress contributed the strength of the
sociological community in Russia and pointed perspectives of development of sociological knowledge and education. The idea to publish the Journal ("Journal of Sociology and Social Anthropology"), was realized, it was the dream of the founders of Russian sociology. And the society sets up the series of publication "Russian sociologists" and "Russian sociology."

And one more question is it correct to write "Sociological Society named after M.M. Kowalewsky" or it is possible to say like this "Sociological Society M.M. Kowalewsky"?
